Frequently asked questions
How does a robotic lawn mower work?
Robotic mowers work in a very similar way to robot vacuums, essentially keeping on top of lawn maintenance by mowing little and often and then returning to their charging station when they’re done.
What happens when it rains?
The rain sensor on your new Kress mower will inform the machine to cancel its current task and make its way back to the docking station. You can also postpone the cut in the app if you notice it raining beforehand.
What happens if I have more than one area to cut?
If you have more than one cut area the Kress RTK can travel along a flat path 1 metre wide between cutting locations.
Can I get different cut patterns?
You can alter cut patterns in the Kress app making sure you are in full control of how you want your lawn to look.
Is my Kress RTK robotic lawnmower secure?
Your Kress RTK robotic lawnmower comes with anti-theft protection, meaning your machine is geo-fenced in the mapped area and when it is taken out of this area the unit will switch off and a notification will be sent to your phone. There is also a GPS tracker which can locate your machine within a 2 metre radius.
What about installation & Mapping?
When the unit is installed our trained Kress technician will come to your garden and map out the cutting areas avoiding obstacles and programming between cutting areas if necessary. Are you also looking for an extra piece of mind? Then look no further than the obstacle avoidance system for an extra level of safety.
